We're Brett and Chip, two friends who fell in love with Japanese convenience store sandwiches after countless trips to Japan. We couldn't stop thinking about the soft shokupan, perfectly balanced fillings, and the simple joy of grabbing a great sando from the neighborhood konbini.

When we came home, we realized the Bay Area didn't have that experience so we set out to create it ourselves. Every loaf of shokupan is baked from scratch, every sandwich is made fresh, and every market is our chance to share a little piece of Japan with our community.
